Another month brings another addition to our team. APACC welcomes our first
student intern, Tristia VanNiekerk. Ms. VanNiekerk is a senior at Portland State University majoring in Japanese and minoring in Business Administration. She will be helping us organize events and increase benefits for our members. APACC thanks intellectual property law firm Kolisch Hartwell, P.C. for providing Ms. VanNiekerk with an office in its downtown Portland location.
In other news, we are pleased to offer free advertising in our newsletter to members that are non-profit organizations, government agencies, and business members. Please see the details in this newsletter. We will be adding more benefits for our members in the near future.
Finally, our first quarterly event is on November 10, 2009, beginning at 5:30 pm, at the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette office in downtown Portland . Our speakers for the event will be advisory board members Jaime Lim and June Schumann, who will be sharing their perspectives on corporate responsibility. Dinner and live entertainment are included with your registration for the event. Please register early, using our updated website, to take advantage of discounted rates. We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Peter Sabido
President of APACC
